Context

Marjan is shaping the next phase of Ras Al Khaimah’s growth through a portfolio of landmark masterplanned destinations. Each occupies a distinct position within the emirate, from established waterfront hospitality and residential development to emerging coastal communities and a new urban centre.

GJC has been appointed across three of these destinations: Al Marjan Island, RAK Central and Marjan Beach. Together, they represent three different expressions of Ras Al Khaimah’s continued evolution as a place to live, work, visit and invest.

GJC has been appointed across three of these destinations: Al Marjan Island, RAK Central and Marjan Beach. Together, they represent three different expressions of Ras Al Khaimah’s continued evolution as a place to live, work, visit and invest.

The Destinations

Al Marjan Island

Marjan’s flagship waterfront destination, Al Marjan Island extends across four coral-shaped islands and 23 kilometres of coastline. The masterplan brings together luxury hospitality, branded residences, contemporary waterfront living and leisure experiences within one of Ras Al Khaimah’s most recognisable destinations.

With more than 8,500 planned hotel keys and over 18,000 residential units, the island continues to attract leading international hospitality and lifestyle brands while strengthening Ras Al Khaimah’s position on the global stage.

Marjan Beach is an emerging mixed-use coastal community located minutes from Al Marjan Island. The masterplan combines residential neighbourhoods, beachfront hospitality, retail, education, cultural facilities and generous public spaces within a contemporary waterfront setting.

With more than 60% of the masterplan dedicated to residential use, Marjan Beach is designed as a long-term community where coastal living, hospitality and everyday amenities come together.

RAK Central

Positioned at the gateway to Ras Al Khaimah, RAK Central is envisioned as the emirate’s new urban heart. The work–live–learn–play district will bring together Grade A offices, residential neighbourhoods, retail and dining, cultural institutions, civic spaces and a university campus.

Designed as a connected and walkable city district, RAK Central will provide a new focal point for business, education, culture and everyday life while supporting the emirate’s continued economic growth.
