Desaru Coast is Malaysia’s first, luxury destination, resort development. Located at the south-eastern tip of Johor and spanning over 3,900 acres along a pristine 17km beachfront facing the South China Sea.

Phase 1 consists of five renowned luxury resorts and lifestyle products, two championship golf courses designed by renowned golf professionals and complemented by golf club facilities and residences, a waterfront landscaped lifestyle retail village integrating Westin Resort and Branded Themed Family Resort and an Adventure Water Park and a conference centre. 

I have been engaged to support one of the bidders to provide the Facilities Management elements of the bid including:

Bluewaters, Dubai, UAE

Located off the Jumeirah Beach Residence coastline, Bluewaters will feature retail, residential, hospitality and entertainment zones.

Serving as the centrepiece of the island project, the 210-meter Ferris wheel. The piazza at the base of the wheel will serve as an entertainment zone.

Bluewaters will feature a bespoke souq with 168 retail outlets. There will be a residential Apartment and townhouse district with 715 units. There will also be two Hotels with services apartments all encircled by a promenade.

Riyadh North, Riyadh, KSA

Riyadh North will be a mixed use master community located north of Riyadh City bringing together a MAF flagship shopping mall, various residential, office, hospitality and leisure uses and public spaces such as parks and open landscaped areas.   • A governance and management strategy for the Master Community.
  • A master plan adoption strategy.
  • A master plan facilities management design review.
  •  A high level master community facilities management operational strategy.

A summary report that highlights the key governance, management and operational structures and strategies determined for Riyadh North for submission to Al Riyadh Development Agency (“ADA”), or otherwise capable of being adapted by MAF as part of their overall submission documents.


District One, Dubai, UAE

District One is a landmark developement on the most prime of locations in Dubai. Situated less than 3km (10 minutes driving distance) from the Burj Khalifa, it will be the closest freehold Villa development to downtown Dubai and possibly the only Villa development of such low density, this close to the heart of any metropolis, globally. District One will be a community of exclusive homes, delivered in four phases, each covering 1 million square meters (65% of which will be open space), creating 1030 acres of the lowest-density, luxury residential environment possible, including arboreal parks, crystal lagoons, woodlands, a retail zone and a water park.

Hay Al Irfan & OCEC, Muscat, Oman

The Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre (OCEC) is a one of the most prestigious projects currently under developed in Oman and it will provide a further cornerstone to Oman’s Integrated Tourism Development Strategy.

The Project is a mixed use commercial development including Hotels and a Business Park within the Oman Conference and Exhibition Centre Project Centre campus on a Site of 169 hectares in area.

Uptown Kawe, Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania

Kawe Satellite City Development Project is located in the Kawe Area about 10 kilometres north from Dar Es Salaam’s Central Business District, Tanzania.

The project area covers 107.086 hectares of land and will be a mixed use development and is currently under concept design and master planning.
